Event 2 - The Emergence of the Iris Sword
Those who had
been to Qi Lian should have heard of Huo Mansion;
though it was burnt to ashes and fallen to ruin, one can still see
its glorious history. The preceding owner of Huo Mansion
was Huo Qing Yang, a great blacksmith who was rumored to be a student of the
founder of Sword Worship Clan. Huo was also one of the selected students when
his master dispense the rare metal called Dark Coal to three of his most
excellent students, with the intention that one of them would successfully
forge the cursed metal into a great legendary weapon.
Huo soon settled
down nearby Qi Lian town and founded the Huo Mansion,
the most famous forging establishment in the vicinity. One of his greatest
creations was the world’s sharpest saber, the majestic Iris Saber. Legend says
that this divine weapon could slice through any armor and delivers cuts that
would never stopped bleeding.
The fame of the
Iris Saber had reached until the ears of Xiong Ba, which attracted him to own
it and ordered Huo to turn over the saber to the Tian Xia clan. Unwilling to
see his creation to be misused by Xiong Ba, Huo hid the saber to an unknown location.
As a result of that, Xiong Ba sent his men to kill the entire of Huo family in
stormy night. Enraged by the failure to locate the Iris Saber, Tian Xia clan burnt the Huo Mansion to the ground. Ever since then, Huo Mansion had been haunted with ghosts. Rumors said that the ghosts are actually Huo’s own family who are still guarding the secluded saber. Until now, no one knows where Huo hid the Iris Saber. But the sick beggar near Qi Lian Town may have known some clues of the Iris Saber, as he was the only survivor of the fire incident.
